Font problems in KDE konsole:

When using konsole, You will experience a decided lack of line drawing
characters in e.g. Midnight Commander (mc).

When searching the internet, the solution seems to be to install the
xfonts-konsole package and running the "dpkg-reconfigure -plow fontconfig"
there You specify that You want to use bitmapped fonts.


Gotcha:
-------

You now have ugly fonts all over KDE, but Your line-drawings in konsole
works.

To get rid of the ugly fonts, You need to enter control panel, and specify
another system font. Every user needs to do this. 

A good font to use, is the Nimbus fonts, as they are reasonable quality.
This is not really an acceptable solution, as default should be a nice
looking interface.
